BA Textile Design

Our Textile Design course will develop your creativity and technical design skills with the chance to specialise in textiles for fashion or interior design. You will have the chance to gain experience in creating knitted, woven, stitched or manipulated textiles and will use state of the art equipment to produce and end product. 

You will also gain a sound theoretical knowledge and understanding of the textile industry including  design principles, design history and mass consumerism. You will also develop skills in marketing and research and which will help you to become well-rounded graduate, equipped to take on a professional design role in a range of sectors. 

For students interested in fashion, you will study Fashion Brand Analysis and can enhance your knowledge of the fashion industry by taking optional modules such as Garment Technology for Knitwear, Fashion Management and 20th Century Fashion.
